more colour...!

while browsing through an art material section at a bookstore, i came across a pad of Canson Paper and grabbed it. it is so difficult to get such stuff here. working on a drawing pad is wonderfully convenient and Canson is a great paper for pastel and charcoal. these days instead of layering the pastel like i usually do, i simply draw with it and colour it in. this makes my style far more fluid and produces interesting results. i still have to experiment more, but here is an illustration i did for DH. just what they want - bright and colourful.
i also got some of my pictures framed and am surprised and pleased with the result. do have a look over here >>

A long time lurker delurking here..
I love using pastels and charcoal, but havent yet found the perfect paper. I asked at a few art supply shops in/around Indiranagar and got various quotes between INR 250-450 (for 1 sheet of what looks like cartridge paper). May make sense to a professional, but sounded too expensive to a sunday artist like me.
Where can i get Canson Paper in Blr? Could you pls help me?

Appoolika, you will have to go to Avenue road, Bhaskar Art centre. They have large sheets of Canson paper which are sold at around Rs.35 to 40 per sheet. Well worth the price.
