Saturday

After a whirlwind week, here are some images from my relaxed Saturday.
In the garden, clearing the studio, reminiscing over old drawings, wondering what to do with a decade of old journals, horrified at the stash of empty new journals collected over time.
Yes, I am procrastinating over clearing further, washing my hair, whipping up dinner...maybe I'll just go see what's on TV instead.
What did you do on your Saturday?

i simply know there will be lots of questions about the breakfast, so here are the answers - oatmeal bread with organic peanut butter and cherry conserve.
the cherry conserve is to die for. not too sweet and chock full of cherries, it is unbelievable.
move over hi range and bon maman.
:-)

Yes, your breakfast looks so delicious! I adore cherries.
Since I'm in the eastern US, my Saturday is just beginning. I'm sitting at my desk, reading blogs and the NY Times, with a bowl of yogurt, topped with maple syrup (one of the great benefits of living in New England) granola (David Lebovitz's recipe) and half a banana.
My sweetie should arrive in a few hours - we plan to go for a long walk (it's sunny and cold), cook something simple and lovely, and maybe go out to a movie tonight. Relaxing.

green key - reminds me i should make another quota of david's granola. it seems your saturday is going to be a lovely one :-)

Nice pictures.
My son scrambled eggs for breakfast. We did some studies and were lazy. They played with friends. I got outraged and wrote about farmer suicides and and plastic. (I snuck out and bought a few cans of kingfisher). We finished Aladin. Now, I confess, the kids are watching Singh is King and I'm goofing around. (And drinking the kingfisher).
How's that for full disclosure?

hari bhatti: ha, so that's wot brought about the farmer suicide post. that's a great full disclosure btw. sounds like a very normal family saturday.

A very laid back Saturday for me..... I've just eaten far too many garlic prawns for supper..... and a triple choc cream dessert. What was I thinking! I'm now enjoying your drawings especially the big mouth!

I go for a walk in the morning and then out to breakfast somewhere, usually a local cafe. Then I potter around a bit. Sometimes book shopping, sometimes a movie, sometimes a bit of gardening or reading. I don't like making plans on a Saturday if I can help it.

Yes that toast looks scrumptious (cherry jam is my favourite). Have been wondering about the same question recently- what on earth to do with all my old journals, they are starting to pile up. A big cedar chest would do. Saturday included baking, dancing, and a bit of movie watching- no ticks on the to do list round these parts today. Maybe tomorrow. Lazy time in the garden, sounds perfect.

Love these glimpses into your day Priya, and the sketches... and no firecracker...

Saturday I had to work, so Sunday I lay in bed reading a good book, before getting around to blogging, and a lovely chicken and rice dinner with the family...

After a week full of not much productive work- saturday I sat at my friends- ate her breakfast and lunch & worked like my life depended on it. Then went for a 4 hour meeting- but felt self righteously happy. Priya my weekdays and weekends are all messed up. What do I say- I asked for it!

BTW I loveed that yummiliciousness in the 1st pic and your work is - what do I say- strong. I'd love to see it 1st hand some day. see the strokes and their texture on paper.

Cherry conserve? Wow, that sounds amazing!

I painted on Saturday. You deserve praise for doing whatever clearing out you did accomplish. That is hard to do. (for this pack rat, especially!)
